Meet Dr. McKenzie Rice

Dr. McKenzie Rice is proud to be a “Double Dawg,” earning both her bachelor's degree in animal science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs! (And cats, too!)
Originally from just outside Atlanta, Dr. Rice is excited to now call Charleston home. She brings a warm, relationship-centered approach to veterinary medicine. She is passionate about practicing Fear Free care and believes veterinary visits should feel safe, calm, and positive for every patient.
Dr. Rice values true collaboration with clients and works closely with families to create individualized plans that support both the pet and the people who love them. She believes strong relationships are the foundation of great medicine and strives to ensure every client feels heard, supported, and confident in their pet’s care.
Dr. Rice is enjoying exploring her new city. Outside of the clinic, you can find her at the beach with her Bluetick Coonhound, Walter, and her Golden Retriever, Daisy, playing tennis, or discovering new local spots around town.
She looks forward to building lasting relationships with you and your pets and making every visit a positive, comfortable experience.
